SEPTEMBER 22, 2018

Since we moved to Washington State just over three years ago, it has truly become our home. We love vast landscapes and wilderness; in these places, we feel our most sacred and joyful. It felt natural that we would have our wedding in just such an area. We found the perfect place in the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center. Located in the North Cascades National Park, a 3-hour drive from Seattle, the Learning Center is a not-for-profit organization that shares our values. Most of the year they host educational programming for children and adults, but just a few times a year the Learning Center opens up the campus for small weddings. We were lucky enough to get a slot in this remote and intimate location.

On Saturday, September 22, we had a wedding ceremony of our own design outside in the forest. True to form for the Pacific Northwest, the day was rainy. You'll notice many of our pictures feature umbrellas and raincoats. Luckily, we were able to nestle under an outdoor shelter for the ceremony and afterward, while we weren't able to have a campfire as planned, we did have a reception in the dining hall featuring hot toddies and Oregon pinot.

Pictures are all from our wonderful wedding photographer, Tyler Ray of Gull Photos.

Please consider purchasing from him (20% off coupon fall2018)

However, we can also download any of the photos and send you the full version for your use.
